Fresno Falcons Hockey

The Falcons have an exhibition game against the Stockton Thunder on October 10th at 7:00p.m. Regular season play will start on October 19th against the Las Vegas Wranglers.

Both games take place at the Save Mart Center.

The Weeks Ahead In Bulldog Athletics

You can watch Bulldog Football on October 6th against Nevada. BSN will broadcast the game live on KFRE CW 59 at 1:00p.m. On October 13th we play against Idaho. BSN will broadcast this game live at 2:00p.m.

The Womens Soccer team has two upcoming games. The first is October 7th against San Francisco at 2:00p.m. Their next game will be on October 12th against San Jose State at 7:00p.m.

The Volleyball team has a game on October 4th against Boise State at 7:00p.m.

The 2007 Roger Tatarian Journalism Symposium

The topic for this year’s symposium is Politics and The Digital Age.  The symposium will start at 9p.m. with a welcome from President Welty.  Between 9:15a.m. and 10:15a.m. there will be a  panel discussion that will discuss New Media and The Digital Age.

From 10:30a.m. to 12:00p.m. will be the keynote speaker Daniel Walters.  Walters is a political columnist for the Sacramento Bee.

The symposium is on Friday, October 5th in the SSU.

The University Lecture Series Begins

Starting off the lecture series is This Is Not the Life I Ordered: 50 Ways to Keep Your Head Above Water. The lecture will feature Jan Yanehiro and Michealene Cristini Risley. It is about two women who have taken a collection of lessons and stories to help turn any misfortunate event into a joy-filled opportunity.
The lecture is on October 2nd at 7:30pm at the SSU. Tickets are $2 for students, $6 in advance or $8 dollars on the day of the event for faculty, staff, alumni association and for seniors. Tickets for the general public are $10 in advance and $12 on the day of the event.
