Fresno State may have lost last night to North Carolina but their chances of a championship series with Georgia are still alive. Fresno State took a commanding lead, 3-0, with Tommy Mendonca’s 2-run homer in the 4th inning. North Carolina answered the call with two runs in both the 4th and the 8th innings. Although the Bulldogs lost 4-3, they can still revel in the fact that Mendonca’s decking of a base-runner made the No. 1 spot in ESPN SportCenter’s Top Ten Plays of the Day.
