The Center for Irrigation Technology at California State University, Fresno will offer a seminar from 9 a.m. to noon Dec. 11 at the Water and Energy Technology Lab at Chestnut and Barstow avenues to help growers learn how a well-designed irrigation system can lead to saving water and energy while producing a profitable crop.

With Thanksgiving just ahead, student-produced turkeys from an academic partnership with Zacky Farms of Fresno are available at the Rue and Gwen Gibson Farm Market at California State University , Fresno .The University Agricultural Laboratory (University Farm) also will donate 25 frozen turkeys to Poverello House, which serves a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to hundreds of homeless people each year.

A variety of student choreography and performance will be showcased Thursday-Saturday, Nov. 20-22, in the semiannual production of University Dance Theatre (UDT) at California State University , Fresno .Performances in the Lab School Theatre will be at 8 p.m. each day. There will be a 2 p.m. performance Saturday.

Graduating in December and returning to complete post baccalaureate work in the spring? Make sure you notify the Financial Aid Office if you are receiving financial aid, including student loans. The change in careers (undergraduate to post baccalaureate) will require some adjustments to your award. Don’t forget, or your disbursement may be delayed in spring. The Financial Aid office is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., and closed for lunch at noon until 1 p.m. You can call them at (559) 278-2182.
