This weekend Associated Students, Inc. at Fresno State (ASI) hosted a meeting with all of the other Associated Students organization representatives from all 23 CSU campuses (what’s known as the California State Student Association). Student leaders worked together plan ways of influencing State representatives to support affordable higher education and to stop making cuts to the CSU system. They also identified plans to work with the California Community Colleges and the University of California students to help fight cuts to higher education.

The city of Fresno is continuing its grinding and repaving work on Shaw Avenue between Highway 168 and Blackstone Avenue. Grinding will occur in the evening and paving during the day. Congestion and delays to FresnoState students, staff, faculty and visitors will occur. You may want to choose an alternative route to campus such as the Bullard or Ashlan interchanges from Highway 168 or Highway 41.
Any vehicles parked along eastbound Shaw this week are subject to being towed. No one wants to deal with that headache, so make sure to move your car!

Overview: USDA-NRCS is the primary federal agency that works with private landowners to help them conserve, maintain, and improve their natural resources. The Agency emphasizes voluntary science-based conservation, technical assistance, partnerships, incentive-based programs, and cooperative problem solving at the community level.
